If you are a taxpayer, you can make every £1 you give worth 25p more just by completing the ‘Gift Aid’ part of the donation form. If you are a higher rate taxpayer, you may be able to claim tax relief on your donation. More information on GiftAid can be found on the HMRC website.
Legacy
When you leave Wild Oxfordshire a gift in your will, you are helping to protect nature and wildlife for future generations to enjoy. As a small charity, legacies are vitally important because they give us the financial security to think long term and plan for the future.
Leaving us a gift in your will is a tax efficient way of giving as its value will be deducted from your estate (your money, possessions and property) before Inheritance Tax is worked out. Gifts made before your death may also qualify for exemption. If you already have awill you and would like to make a donation you can add a codicil to an existing will. We advise you to use a solicitor to make or change your will. More information on making a will and leaving gifts to charity can be found on Citizen’s Advice.
Make A Will Online
We have partnered with Make A Will Online to enable our supporters to draft a will in as little as 15 minutes, have it checked by a solicitor within a few days, and protect the wishes in your will from challenge. You can assign a legacy of any size to a charity of your choice. You can either give a specific gift to a charity (normally a sum of money), or you can make the charity a residuary beneficiary.
Giving a gift in memory

Give as you live
Shopping online can raise money for Wild Oxfordshire at no cost to you. Give As You Live enables you to donate a small percentage of your total spend to Wild Oxfordshire every time you shop.
Simply download the app or go via the Give as You Live website to access your chosen shop. It does add an extra click to your online shopping, but we hope you agree it’s worth it!
If you’re spring cleaning your finances, use Give as you Live to compare insurance, utility prices etc and Wild Oxfordshire will receive a one-off £10-£20 donation.
If you drink wine or bubbly you can help our environment simply by saving the corks! Corks don’t break down in landfill but Recorked UK recycles corks and donates money to charity. There are collection points at Bothy Vineyard, Marcham Shop, Hanney Community Shop, Appleton Community Shop, Added Ingredients in Abingdon, Common Ground in Oxford, Childrey Village Store, and Cumnor Post Office Shop. Recorked UK donates a penny to Wild Oxfordshire for every cork collected – so drink wine (responsibly) and save our environment!
Fundraise
Raise funds for Wild Oxfordshire whilst having fun! Take part in an event, or organise one yourself to raise money for Wild Oxfordshire, such as:-
-Sponsored nature walk, run, or cycle
- Workshop to make bug or bird houses
- Wildlife photography competition
- Plant sale (local & native species)
- Cake sale with prize for best nature-themed cake
